Events Calendar

Following on from last weekend's New Zealand Modified Championship, the action continues this Saturday at Stratford Speedway with the Michielsens Transport West Coast Stockcar Teams, raced for in memory of former team member and long time Stockcar racer Vern Broadmore, Uhlenberg Haulage Taranaki Sprintcar Champs and the Taranaki Adult Ministock Champs. Four Stockcar teams will racing throughout the night over a total of six teams races while the Taranaki Sprintcar champs includes top USA racer Jonathan Allard in the lineup and will also feature an additonal fourth race dubbed Ultimate Glory.  The competitors will race two heats for the Taranaki champs, the points accrued from these determining the starting order for the one race final.  Following on from this will be the Ultimate Glory race.  The grid for this will be the reverse of the finishing order from the Taranaki champs.  No big prize pool, no trophy just good old bragging rights.  Can the new Taranaki Champion win from the back fo the grid?!  There really is something for everyone at this meeting with plenty of carnage likely in the six teams races while the Sprintcars will showcase extream high speed racing and top of the line car control on the clay oval.  A nearly full field will ensure that the Taranaki Adult Ministock champs is a hotly contested affair and what better way to round out the program than with the Superstocks!
