Weather Update:
For the last few hours it has been crossing betweeen very light drizzle and clearing. We are going to forge ahead and attempt to get this meeting run as it looks like there is a high chance that the rain will stay away. See you all at the track!

Opening Night.

​City of New Plymouth Classic for Superstocks, Midgets, Streetstocks & Adult Ministocks.
​(Double points for all classes).

With a big season ahead, including four National Championships, this opening meeting should be a goodie.  New drivers, new cars and rebuilt cars all mean that competitors will be keen to get on the track to get their cars and driving sorted before the big titles.  Six classes will race at this meeting including the mega dollar Superstocks where full contact is permitted and encouraged.  These guys and girls don't need to pass cleanly, they just push their opposition out of the way!  Stockcars race to the same style and rules as the Superstocks, the cars a little less costly though and the drivers more aggressive.  Modifieds will impress with their big wings and high horse powered V8 engines while the Midgets will be super quick around the oval track.  The Streetstocks will offer good old fashioned budget racing and the Ministocks will front with large numbers and close racing.  So if you're looking for something to do on Saturday night, come along and spend a few hours at Taranaki's Action Attraction for value entertainment.  Gate prices are very reasonable and we are sure that you will have a good time.  It's probably still a bit chilly at this time of year so bringing blankets or jackets with you would be a good idea!
